Direction and Ingredients
Amount Ingredient Preparation
5 tablespoons clarified butter AKA ghee
1 medium onion chopped
2 cloves garlic chopped
2 each cloves, whole
2 each bay leaves
1 inch cinnamon stick
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon coriander
2 each tomatoes quartered
1 x salt to taste
2 medium potatoes cubed
1/2 cup peas
1 1/4 cups water
1 x cilantro chopped
 Heat ghee and saute onion and garlic over medium heat till golden.  Add cloves, bay leaves & cinnamon.  Stir fry for 2 minutes.

Add garam masala, chili powder, turmeric, coriander, tomatoes and salt. Mix well.

Add potatoes and peas. Pour in water and bring to a boil.

Lower heat, cover the pan and simmer gently for 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are done.

Garnish with coriander leaves & serve hot.
