Amount Ingredient Preparation
1/4 cup brown sugar packed
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sorghum
1 each egg
1 1/4 cups flour all-purpose
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1/2 teaspoon ginger ground
1/8 teaspoon cloves ground
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup raisins
 Cream sugar and butter; beat in sorghum and egg.

Stir together flour, soda, spices, and salt.

Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk; beat after
each addition.

Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.

Top each with one or two raisins. Bake at 35 for 7 to 1 minutes.
