Amount Ingredient Preparation
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon shortening
3/4 cups milk
 Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder and salt.  Cut in shortening.  Add sufficient milk to make a drop batter.  Drop by spoonfuls into boiling liquid.  Cover closely and cook about 1 minutes. The liquid must be kept boiling during the entire 1 minutes.  

Serve at once.
