4 each pita bread
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons onion chopped
1 clove garlic minced
2 tablespoons green bell pepper minced
1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 x black pepper freshly ground
1 1/2 cups tomatoes peeled, seeded, chopped
 Heat the bread in a low oven.

Heat the butter in a skillet and saute' the onion, garlic and
pepper until just soft; do not brown.

Add the beef, mustard, oregano, salt and a generous amount
of pepper.

Cook, stirring, until the meat is no longer red.

At the last minute stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook briefly.

Cut the pitas in half and stuff the pouches.

Makes 4 generous servings.
